I had this thought this morning about Faith.
I was in a moment of doubt or what Dr Benjamin Hardy and Business Coach Dan Sullivan refer to as the Gap. In the book the Gap and the Gain.
The Gap is when you start thinking about all the things you want to achieve but haven’t and you focus on the Gap between where you are and where you want to be.
I was in my meditation period and God revealed to me. Living in the Gap is operating in a lack of Faith.
Considering My concept of the Four F’s of transformation starts with Faith. I started paying attention.
I was operating under a declaration of Faith but not true Faith.
You see, true faith is “Walking in the confidence that what you believe in is true.”
In Matthew 7: 7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
There are 2 lessons I want you to take away from this.
Lesson 1: Doubt is a natural thing that occurs. I was talking to a student the other day and used the analogy of having the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other.
If you think of the devil's job is to keep you from becoming who you are meant to be. When it senses you are on the verge of change. It will do what it can to stop you in your tracks; the easiest way is to attack your mindset. By the way, that devil is a part of your mindset. It is the set of limiting beliefs that you either learned or received from others that you currently believe.
We must learn how to replace that voice with the voice of the angel who wants you to be everything you were born to be.
Lesson 2: Declaring is far different than Believing. You leave room for doubt when you don’t truly believe in what you are saying. In the beginning, Faith is the only evidence you will have that you are meant to live your dream life.
Walk as though it already exists. This is not a fake until you make it type thing. I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying you make decisions and take actions as if you are the person you are meant to be.
Fake it until you make it was created with good intentions but could lead you to make poor decisions for appearance's sake. Walking as you are the person you are meant to be means you will focus on the activities as if you are living your life of purpose and make decisions as your future self would make.
