I’m also thankful that mistakes are not the end of us.  We have a chance for a new beginning.

The Message of Easter Is Personal

When we say "He is risen," we’re not just celebrating an event—we're declaring a truth that changes everything:

Death doesn’t have the final say. Failure isn’t final. Delay isn’t denial.

We all go through seasons where parts of us feel like There is no hope for the future:

• The dream that didn’t happen.

• The momentum we lost.

• The purpose we buried under pressure, bills, or broken expectations.

But here’s the thing:

You can rise again.

You are not the sum of your mistakes. The season of struggle will not last. And your destiny is not canceled because of delay.

Many people want fast success but did you know that winning the lottery increases your chance of filing bankruptcy by ~300%.  Only 10% - 12% of people find themselves in bankruptcy court.  However almost 30% of lottery winners end up in bankruptcy within 3-5 years of winning the lottery.

Many end up in a worse situation than they started.

Why?

Because they did not fail their way to millionaire status, it was given to them.  

You see..

Failure provides the lessons to help us become the person we need to be.  The person that is prepared to have the things we want and desire.  

Think about when you learned how to ride a bike.  Did you just hop on and start popping wheelies?  I didn’t. In fact one of my failures included removing cactus needles from my leg.

But then there came a time when, I was able to ride the bike with no hands down the road while popping a wheelie for a very long time. at least it seemed like it.

I have a friend named Rod.  We were talking about his cleaning business.  He took over from his dad and grew the business quickly to over $10M in revenue through acquisitions and rapid growth strategy. 

He said something to me at the time that I did not understand.  He said. “I grew too fast with the last company. I did not learn the lessons I needed to learn.”

I was just starting my entrepreneurial journey and thought.  How could you grow too fast?  What lessons was he talking about.

Now I understand…. It was about how to manage Cash Flow… How to manage People…  How to manage Culture…  

Growing too fast did not give him a chance to learn those skills along the way.

He didn’t stop there… He took a little time but started a new cleaning company.  Grew it to nearly the same revenue but this time with the experience he needed to maintain the company.

Easter is the perfect time to reflect, reset, and recommit.

You don’t need a full plan—you need faith. You don’t need to know all the steps—you need focus. You don’t need to hustle harder—you need to finish what you started. And you don’t need to dread the process—you need to bring fun back into your life.

• Faith – Trust that your life matters and that your path is right in front of you.

• Focus – Eliminate the noise and lock in on what matters most.

• Finish – Stop starting and quitting. See things through.

• Fun – Don’t forget the joy. Purpose without joy is just work.
