Faith is the beginning of everything

Faith is the beginning of everything

Faith is the Beginning of Everything

I will first admit -- I'm not where I thought I would be at this time in my life. Some for the better and some less than what I expected.

I started to refocus on moving toward my future self at the end of 2022.

I feel more confident now in my future than I have in a long time.

This all started with Faith.

I've been reading a lot about how to get to where you want to go.  Maybe I’m paying attention.  Or I’m just ready to receive the information. You know the proverb. “When the student is ready the teacher will appear”.

I’ve been seeking information with a stronger intention than I have in the past.  I developed a strong why.  It didn’t happen overnight.  I started developing my why probably around the end of 2019.  But that is another story for another time.

As I started learning about success and finding my purpose. I noticed the themes were all similar...   Whether you read the Bible, Think and Grow Rich, listen to speakers like Eric Thomas (ET), Steve Harvey, Benjamin Hardy, Stephen Covey, Tony Robbins, the list goes on.

They all start with a principle of Faith.

My question to you is: Do you believe in your future?  If the answer is No, you don’t have a chance at making it or achieving it or being it.

Belief or Faith is the first small action toward your future self.

I’m not even talking about a completely undoubted belief that your future is possible.  I’m asking if you can imagine for a moment, what your life could look like if you lived a life on purpose.  And had a belief it is possible.  That is the first step in your journey towards your future self.

Let’s try this… For a moment…

I would like you to sit for a moment and think about what you really want to do with your life.  Why are you here?

Side note: I have this theory that the line “What are you doing here?” Is the most common line in all movies and TV shows.  I don’t know if it is true.  See how many times you hear it in entertainment movies or TV shows and let me know.

But I digress…

Ask yourself… What am I doing here?  Chances are there is something you have always thought you were supposed to do but it didn’t seem reachable for you or anywhere near possible.

I had a conversation with my mom about purpose once. More directly, how do we know God’s purpose for us?  She said,

“Your purpose isn’t something you seek. It is that desire deep down that you can’t get rid of. You don’t have to ask for it. God has already given it to you.”

Take a moment right now or within the next 24hrs.

Find a quiet place.

Ask yourself.

What am I Here?.

and listen.

Here is a prompt to use in your journaling.  If you had the choice to do something without considering money, time, and ability.  What would you do?  The Answer: Is the 1st clue to what living purpose is for you.

If you are still not sure, that's ok. Give yourself Grace... You've had a lifetime of false programming limiting beliefs, and failures. This is not an overnight ... get it done quick...

This is a start the process of building the life of your dreams process.

When you get close to the answer, you will feel a little excited and a little scared at the same time.

That's expected and means you are on the right track.

Your purpose is unique to us, it is something we are required to share with the world as long as it is legal and does not harm anyone.

Hold on to that feeling.  You are on your way.

Now Take Action!

Write down your thoughts. Reflect on them weekly and add more thoughts.

It’s important to write things down…

What I’m asking you to do at this moment is simple but not easy.

There is one thing I know for sure. None of this will happen until you have a little Faith in yourself.

Until Next Time…
